Invention is now a creative means employed by Nigerian rappers to stay afloat in an industry fast filling up with like-minded talents. Among his few but formidable contemporaries, Ladipoe has been able maintain the originality we’ve come to love him for while coming up with unique flavors for his brand. Latest of his innovations is the Revival Sunday series that promises brand new singles every Sunday with Providence being it’s first single.
In his usual confident fashion, Ladipoe masquerades as a storyteller with a realism kink which he demonstrates brassily over Johnson IP and London’s crisp bass sound bed. The single is accompanied by a monochromatic Lekan-directed video that casts Poe in a Preacher’s light.
