Larry Gaaga And Umu Obiligbo Celebrate The Hustler’s Spirit On ‘Owo Ni Koko’

Larry Gaaga has made it tradition to celebrate his birthday with a song release. Last year, he teamed up with Patoranking on In My Head, a plaintive ode to loved ones lost. This year, he returns on a happier note to gift fans an immediate follow up to the Joeboy powered Slow Burner, titled Owo Ni Koko which features Akunwafor Obiligbo and Okpuozor Obiligbo, officially known as Umu Obiligbo.  The single follows the announcement of his signing to Def Jam Africa earlier in the year.

During one of his introspective sessions inspired by the lockdown, Larry Gaaga noticed that some people spend most of their lives proving to their audience on social media platforms that they are wealthy when in reality, they are unable to maintain the lifestyle they show off to the public which is what spurn him to create the song. Also recorded during the lockdown, the Richard Odeyemi produced Owo Ni Koko preaches originality and celebrates the hustler’s spirit. “Apply yourself to supply your wealth, only limitation is other material things you place heavy emphasis on.” Is one line written by the compatible trio of Larry Gaaga and Umu Ubiligbo that stands out.

Owo Ni Koko also comes with a video that was shot in Lagos by renowned video director Unlimited L.A.
