As is obvious from his musical influences which range from Fela to his mentor and friend Olamide, Texas-based Nigerian musician, LasGiiDi has always kept in touch with his Nigerian and African roots and as he prepares for the release of his first project, he shares his second single of the year titled Simmer Down, an Afropop leaning all-rounder that is the result of an amassment of all these influences.
Coincidentally fitting for the current COVID times, the theme of the song centers around being thankful, something we can all relate to in this period. Over a sprightly drum-driven instrumental, LasGiiDi brings his usual Yoruba infused catchy energy in a bid to drive gratitude inspired movement.
