Hackney native, Lavaud prides herself on the intersectionality of her sound, one she describes as a representation of her culture inspired by rhythms of Africa and diversities of London. She joins forces with Reekado Banks on Oh My, an uptempo attempt at proving the versatility of his sound.

With passion and intimacy at its core, Oh My is a sensual, Afro-tinged RnB cut that sees Lavaud (pronounced “La-Vo”) and Reekado Banks demonstrate their slick linguistic prowess and vocal dexterity respectively as they effortlessly switch languages and tempo.

According to Lavaud, “Oh My is about prayers coming true when you discover real love, there’s a point when we cross past infatuation and fall deep into love, this connection and dedication to someone special are so spiritual. Lavaud explains; ”I wanted to capture that freedom in a way that made people relate but also feel good when they hear it.”

Produced by Nigerian Producer, Tuzi, Oh My also marks the first single released from her forthcoming debut EP, a body of work that showcases her Afro-infused, alternative sound, with more details to be revealed soon.
