Layzee Ella Is A Genre Bender On EP Forerunner ‘Body On Me’

Layzee Ella’s persona nests in an overlap where introversion and deep appreciation for art, meet. Having spent years indulging in a range of artsy activities, it’s unnatural for Ella to piece together a persona that encompasses who she truly is, which is why she is still on her way to figuring out her sound and doesn’t feel that she fits into any genre yet. Layzee Ella built her fan base by covering popular songs like Mr Eazi’s Tony Montana and Davido’s Risky. She employs the energy that served her on these covers on Body On Me, a springy ode to lusty feelings articulated in a diverse range of tempos that speaks to Ella’s appreciation of sonic art in its different forms.
