Onafuye Olalekan Timothy, popularly called “Leksyd”, has formed a musical partnership with 9ice over Holy Michael, his first single of the year 2023. In this new jam, the fast-rising artiste explores spirituality as he seeks otherworldly insurance against pseudo friends.
Although relatively new to the Afrobeats mainstream, Leksyd, a native of Ogun state, began his music journey at age nine, and played sorts of musical instruments during high school days, thus preparing the foundation for an efflorescent career.
Leksyd considers music a means through which he is able to unleash his emotions. He adores musical icons such as Wasiu Ayinde, 9ice, Burna Boy and King Sunny Ade, whom he believes to be his biggest influences.
Currently signed to Imuzic Label, Leksyd will be seeking to grow his musical talent in the years to come as he diversifies his themes and sounds to cater to the eclectic interest of fans of Afrobeats.
