New music Friday gets a new inductee in Niniola’s Bana; the femme fatale’s elaborate way of reinforcing her presence in our playlists again this week after a maintained presence in features and visuals that have stayed on top of our flaming hot lists in the past weeks.
While still reveling in the magic she performed in Major Lazer’s refix Of Sicker and Maradonna dubbed Maradonna Riddim, a vibrant audio and visual collaboration with South Africa’s Busiswa among others, Niniola again seeks to own our waists in the Sarz produced single; a fusion of spiritual afrobeat soundscapes rife with bass drums, her signature playful indigenous lyricism and a groovy ambience brought on by hazy vocals and the fast rising cadence of this record.
