What a time to be an artist in this digital age filled with versatile and dynamic sounds. Progressive artistes have to stay positively unpredictable in the midst of an ever changing landscape. Odunsi aims to stay on top of his game and keep his fans on their toes with A-List features, bouncy soundscapes made up of pulsating synths, mellow drums, barely there 808s and jiggy lyrics. All of these little but wholesome elements make up his new single titled Divine featuring DMW’s label leader; Davido. This record comes after months of lean sonic offerings in form of smashing features and live shows from the young artiste and its packing heat.
The slinky yet springy track features the artistes in each verse, hooks and chorus that neglect none of their signature cadence, cleverly lusty lyrics including lines telling the listener to “bounce to this, yeah jiggy to this” and perky soundscapes created by Harry of 80 Sounds and Davido that complete the sublime vibes this track gives off.
Odunsi’s mesmerizing crooning accompanied by Davido’s trusty husky hooks intertwined with the lusty vocals of an uncredited source and Harry’s impeccable production make for a single that seems almost perfect for whatever your mood might be even though the record borders on a chaotic relationship.
