The gifted Nigerian singer-songwriter gives us a driving dance track that is set to take over the airwaves, clubs and parties all through the upcoming festive season. With its hot Afro-house beat, unrelenting and rhythmic hook, Canada is the perfect follow-up track to Lojay’s wildly popular single Leader!
Produced by DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Herc Cut The Lights, the electrifying track immediately transports any listener to the beautiful rooftops of Johannesburg — a nice whiskey sour in hand along with an abundance of titillating body movements.
In his verses, Lojay addresses the transactional relationships that permeate today’s world, especially between men and women pursuing a certain kind of status that comes with being based abroad. While his pursuit is the pursuit of love, his “lover’s” pursuit revolves around looking for a way to get to Canada.
