Disney has announced that a new version of Mary Poppins will be released in Christmas 2018.
The title role will be played by Emily Blunt, the English actress who bears a resemblance to Julie Andrews in the 1964 version.
Disney has also persuaded Lin-Manuel Miranda, the composer and star of the hip-hop musical Hamilton, to fill the role of Jack in the reboot, but it is unclear whether the New Yorker will have to tackle a cockney accent.
