Mayorkun Revisits His Come-Up On ‘Hustler’s Anthem’

Mayorkun revealed what led to his come up last year during the promotion for his debut album: The Mayor of Lagos from which we inferred that contrary to popular opinion, he had to struggle to get to the top. This month, he reveals more in a single that also serves as a challenge titled Hustler’s Anthem; an allusion to his come up and his stance on those against his success.

Like many of his previous releases, Hustler’s Anthem was borne out of random inspiration and though it’s loosely worded due to the challenge which tasks other artists to freestyle on the instrumental, the springy soundscape rejuvenates it’s intended upbeat ambiance.
