Meet Fast-Rising Afrobeat Artiste, Kendickson

Fast-rising music artiste, Kendickson has joined the host of new generation of artists emerging in the current Naija music scene. His musical journey began in 2011 but he took it professionally in 2017 after he released Over. In 2019, Kendrickson officially broke into the music scene with Jojo and captivated the Nigerian audience with his unique sound. Born Amu Kingsley Chibuike, Kendickson is commonly known for fusing Afro-beat, pop, and soul music. His diverse sounds emerge from a myriad of childhood influences like Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, Dolly Parton, Drake, Chris Brown, Fela, 2Face, and Wande Coal.

Since the release of singles like Wayo, Jojo and Blessings, Kendickson has set himself apart from other artistes, establishing himself as one to look out for in the music scene. He has consistently put out music to flaunt his versatility and ingenuity. His latest offering is Ride Or Die and through TikTok, the bubbly tune grew, racking up about 170,000 videos. Currently under the prestigious record label GIGS Records, Kendrickson has loads of tracks lined up and is preparing to dish them out soon.
