MILITARY DISCOVER ROCKET LAUNCHER PRODUCTION FACILITY IN KANO

Major General Chris Olukolade, the Director of Defence Intelligence, announced yesterday that the army had uncovered a rocket launcher production facility in Kano State.

The discovery was made during a cordon-and-search operation in Dorayi District, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.

He stated “The discovery follows the arrest of a prominent member of the terrorist group (Boko Haram).”

“Locally made anti-aircraft guns and mortar accessories as well as rocket propelled grenade tubes and launcher along with accessories were discovered.”

“Also seized were three AK47 rifles and hundreds of rounds of assorted ammunition as well as drilling machines and other fabricating equipment.”
