The ex-Marlian artist terminated his contract with Naira Marley’s Marlian Music Record label in 2022 and appears to have been undergoing a phase of career resuscitation following the fallout with his former boss. With this new release, Mohbad reassures his fans that his music career is still on track, as he sings “I’m still getting my mulla, dollar pelu naira”.
Born Aloba Promise Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, Mohbad’s style encompasses Afropop, Fuji and hip-hop, while his lyricism is mostly peppered with street argot and raunchy lines.
