Musmah’s 7AM is a Vibe for All Hours

Just when you thought your summer playlist was complete, New York-based, Nigerian rapper and songwriter, Musmah drops his latest offering, 7AM, produced by DOZ – who is known for his work with notable acts such as Lady Donli and AYLØ.

Boasting a track with Mr. Eazi, production from Odunsi, and a well-received EP titled, Mississauga that was released in 2015, Musmah is far from a newcomer to the Nigerian music industry. On this effort, he muses about a complicated relationship rife with mind games, playing hard to get and all-around scuminess. The song features a laid-back, downtempo instrumental with a drum pattern that is all too familiar to the everyday listener of Nigerian music.

Going by the song’s lyrics, 7AM is far too early in the morning for phone calls professing love to a misbehaving significant other. But as far as vibing to it goes, absolutely any time of the day will do.
