Naira Marley caused quite a stir earlier in the year when fresh out of police custody, he released Soapy. After causing outrage with the highly questionable dance moves designed to accompany the track, the song now has a video which carries the weight of the track’s questionable lyrics with it.
In the TG Omori directed video, Naira Marley and friends, including Zlatan and the now-famous Rahman Jago act out a comic script that follows the plot of everyday activities in a typical Nigerian detention centre and though the infamous Soapy dance was appropriately checked, it still made it’s way to the video in several scenes.
