The 3 minutes and 58 seconds record is a reggae-infused socio-cultural song, which documents the contextual realities and situation of Nigerians living in dire conditions. The song explores recent events that have rocked the country, and inspires a call for listeners to rise towards pursuits towards the betterment of these conditions.
Jesse Jagz noted in the single: “These evil men have come back to deceive and conquer, but what all they have to offer is war, poverty and hunger, slavery of consciousness, our past, present and yonder.”
Jesse Garba Abaga, known professionally as Jesse Jagz, signed a record deal with Chocolate City in 2010. He released his debut studio album Jag of All Tradez that same year. In 2013, Jesse Jagz took an exit from Chocolate City and launched his independent label, Jagz Nation. Jesse Jagz released his second studio album Jagz Nation, Vol.1, and in May 2020, he released a 5-track EP titled Garba.
