Nobody Should Be Harassed for Defection, says Soyinka

Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has said he does believe anyone who decides to leave a party should be crucified for making such decision.

Speaking in Lagos on Thursday at the presentation of his new book ‘Who Is Watching The Watchmen?’, Soyinka noted that some politicians defect because of their ill intentions.

Soyinka however criticised the ill intentions of some politicians for leaving their parties for another.

He also faulted some of the events that played out in Benue State recently which apparently forced Governor Ortom out of his party, APC.
