Odunsi Proves To Be A Front-Runner Of The New-School On ‘Everything You Heard Is True’

Its been almost two years since Odunsi’s SoundCloud buttressed artistry cumulated into his impressive fourteen-track debut, rare and since its release, we’ve witnessed the eclectic singer and producer’s evolution on post-album singles like Tipsy and Decided. He’s about five years old in the industry now and already he’s on his way to a sophomore album, an announcement he cushions this week with a seven-track EP that bridges the gap between the Odunsi on Time Of Our Lives and the Odunsi on Star Signs. Aptly titled, Everything You Heard Is True, the electric EP is a composition of Odunsi’s many talents that speak to his beloved status in many music industries across the world.

Odunsi’s growth is not only highlighted by the quality of instrumentals and the weight of the lyrics he articulates on the seven tracks or the route he takes to drive his intent on each record home but also evident in the level of comfort he exhibits with his features including newcomer, Deto Black on Body Count or frequent collaborators like Maison2500 on PDA! and amaarae same Body Count.

Odunsi’s growth is palpable and his music is as rich as ever with influences scattered across genres like Hip-hop fusion and of course experimentation because what’s an Odunsi project without impressive bouts of experimentation.

Standout tracks like Wicked, Sexy! and Body Count is already garnering attention but with hidden gems like Luv In A Mosh and Shuga Rush Odunsi once again affords himself the opportunity to propel his brand to permanent relevance.
