Watch Patoranking and Wizkid’s Video For ‘This Kind Love’

Patoranking and Wizkid claim to denounce domestic violence in the video for This Kind Love but it's exactly your cliche Nigerian music video.

With the release of the video for Patoranking and Wizkid’s This Kind Love, it can be said that the dancehall artist is pushing out videos off his debut album, God Over Everything with a heightened sense of urgency. This comes as he follows up the release of his Hale Hale video which dropped last week and leads us to ask if he’s trying to quickly get the old material out of the way and pave the path for future work.

The video which is directed by Capital Dreams Pictures leaves out both Patoranking and Wizkid and instead sees both acts represented by younger actors. The video description reads that the video preaches strongly against domestic violence, however, the video actually offers very little on domestic violence. We only see two scenes where there is the presence of violence which is followed by cross signs and for most part, what we are treated to is the cliche Nigerian music video which sees dancers do their thing while musicians offer their lines.

The video for This Kind Love is a bit abstract and offers no direct relationship to the actual song.
