Peruzzi Taps Fireboy On Upcoming Album’s Fourth Lead Single ‘Southy Love’

Building on the back of the warm reception he’s received from his burgeoning fanbase in the past couple of years and his ability to spin narratives, controversial and otherwise, in favor of his relevance, Peruzzi paves the way to the release of his sophomore album, Rum And Boogie, this week with Southy Love, the fourth official single from the soon-to-be-released album.

Featuring Fireboy DML and accompanied by a cheeky and colorful video directed by Mr Layiii, Southy Love is an uptempo piece centered around long-distance relationships and unreciprocated love, with a saucy twist that speaks to Peruzzi’s affinity for drama. With Fireboy DML sitting on the song’s intro and catchy hook, Peruzzi’s sparse input goes unnoticed, visually and aurally and although he appears in the video, the former’s performance takes center stage, leaving theatrics and ad-libbing to the latter.
