Prettyboy D-O Connects With His Abstractness On ‘Love Is War’

Building on all his momentum and acclaim following his highly anticipated project Wildfire last year. Prettyboy D-O returns with a brand new, fierce body of work that encapsulates his musical persona. Titled Love Is War the project is a bold fusion of rap, punk, and alte, underpinned by deep African rhythms – embodying D-O’s allegiance to creative freedom.

D-O’s highly distinctive cadence and larger-than-life personality bleed through the project from start to finish and his ample versatility is fully on show. Love Is War is the mantra that encapsulates the theme of the project, with sixteen tracks that take the listener on a deep-rooted journey through a myriad of soundscapes. From the high-spirited Rodman Style/Dre’s Interlude and the hugely popular Falling featuring IAMDDB to a straight lyrical display on Broke Boy FC; to project standout Lord Protect My Steppings, going back to back with British Gambian rap genius Pa Salieu, Prettyboy D-O has created yet another solid body of work that is rich in sounds, character, and passion.

Boasting features from hitmakers Davido and Nissi, plus producer credits from the likes of Higo, HVRRY, and Killer Tunez, Prettyboy D-O who hails from Port Harcourt, which boasts a hard-working cultural heritage; does not stray away from bringing his genre-defying sound to the popular music space.
