Princess Okoh Goes Back To Basics On New Retro EP ‘Love Memoires’

Princess Okoh has spent years filtering in and out of the music scene but for the singer, delivery and sticking to the status quo are sure. Last year, she ended her 2-year hiatus with an acclaimed single, Tonight and this year, she continues down the same path with what she describes as a ‘passion project’ that highlights her decision to be more of a giver than a receiver. Titled, Love Memoires, the 5-track project captures the essence of her brand and also serves as a collection of some of her favorite love songs.

Immersed in her love for mesmeric sounds, the whimsical project opens up with the Fall In Love medley, a Piano abundant union of D’Banj’s classic, Fall In Love and Ego’s love ballad. She channels her inner Banky W on the next track, Strong Thing. Princess’s chameleonic nature is especially pronounced on this track as her improvisation is at its peak. On the 3rd track, she enlists the help of a longtime collaborator, Jinmi Abduls who joins her to power Seyi Shay’s 2016 hit single, Murda. Princess closes the curtains with Dare Art Alade’s Not The Girl, a perfect seal to an equally perfect project.

Princess has never been a conformer, rooting herself in her passion and exquisite taste and as with every other body of work she’s worked on, Love Memoires is an extension of her undeniable talent.
