Dare Olaitan’s Singularity Media in conjunction with Film Trybe and FilmOne Studios is set to release a new film titled Ègún.
Created by Kayode Kasum and Dare Olaitan, Ègún is a promising cinematic thriller that incorporates juju and office dynamics. Amongst the cast of this film are Olarotimi Fakunle, Lateef Adedimeji, Omowunmi Dada, Gideon Okeke, Bolaji Ogunmola, Uzor Arukwe, Femi Jacobs, Ibrahim Yekini, Vee Iye, Tomike Adeoye, Darasimi Nnadi and Ejiro Onajaife.
The formidable production trio have been previously responsible for some of the most exciting Nollywood releases. CEO of Singularity Media, Dare Olaitan, and Founder/Creative Director of Film Trybe, Kayode Kasum, worked together on Dwindle (2021), Ile Owo (2022) and Obara’M (2022).
FilmOne Studios, which has as its subsidiary FilmOne Entertainment, recently set true of having conceptualized and distributed Nollywood’s all-time highest grossing film Battle On Buka Street. Both FilmOne Entertainment and FilmOne Studios have also been a winner of several film and film business accolades, amongst which are highest grossing Nollywood film of 2020 Sugar Rush and COMSCORE award for highest grossing distributor in Africa for 2022 presented at the META Cinema Forum.
Since marking his filmmaking debut on Nigerian crime-heist comedy film Ojukokoro (2016), Dare has gone ahead to produce or direct Knockout Blessing (2018), Dwindle and Ile Owo. Kayode Kasum has also directed notable works such as This Lady Called Life (2020), Sugar Rush (2019), Fate of Alakada (2020), Soole (2021) and Something Like Gold (2023).
Expect a thrilling experience as Ègún debuts on Nigerian cinemas from November 10th.
