Chance The Rapper is facilitating change within the music business by pushing the boundaries. Luckily, the ones in charge of the Grammy’s have been paying attention to this. Chance was nominated for seven Grammy’s this year for his work on The Coloring Book, in addition to this, he just made another huge announcement regarding the Grammy Awards in 2018.
According to Chance, all projects released on Soundcloud will be eligible for a Grammy from 2018. Chance tweeted the announcement on Thursday, as who else is better to reveal the news other than the man responsible.
Now independent artistes, with no record label signings and no ties to streaming services, will receive recognition for their hardwork.
