Revival & Resurrection Is Repurposing Nigerian Staples To Create Jewelry

Posted on

Revival & Resurrection as the name hints is a new Nigerian brand rooted in waste utilization and sustainability. Building their audience and growing their following on social media channels over the past year, they have launched with their debut collection tagged ‘Evocation.’

At the core of R&R’s credo is that fashion can exist as regenerative and we see this being brought to their designs as they upcycle Nigerian sweets to create accessories like necklace pendants, brooches, earrings, cufflinks, and rings in their debut collection.

Touching on the origins of the Revival & Resurrection brand to Radr Africa, CEO Tobi Olutade says:

The idea came to me during my year abroad in Finland, where I studied Cultural Conversations and learnt much about the Finnish culture and language through the exploration of its traditional cuisine, snacks and sweets. This got me thinking about the differences in the cultures of the world, which gave me a deeper appreciation and most importantly, respect for the Finnish way of living, as well as, other cultures.”
