Richard J (born Osarodion Richard Idehen) is an emerging artist from Benin City, Edo State, where he started his music career before being discovered by the CEO of NMG Records, Nosa Igbinosa.
Fresh, unapologetic and passionate about his music, the singer-songwriter has released his debut EP titled RICHARD J, which contains five new songs that cover a wide range of the artist’s personal experiences, as he takes listeners on a journey that has led him to where he is now. Richard J writes frankly about topics such as young love, identity, power, and hope on his EP, which he believes will gain him a loyal young fanbase, and also boost his confidence in his art and sound.
Following the release of the project, the singer recently hosted an eventful listening party where special guests from the entertainment industry, including Nollywood actress Linda Osifo, former YBNL star and Monalisa crooner Lyta, fans and music lovers got to attend an exclusive listening experience and watch the artiste perform songs off the EP for the first time.
