Fast-rising New York-Nigerian singer and songwriter Taiyel has released a brand new single, Tickle Me — a follow up with her previously released song Necessary.
Inspired by a fun night out that turned into a house party with friends, Tickle Me was produced by prolific beat maker, Masterkraft. “I decided to make a song about everything that I experienced on a very fun night and I think it turned out to be a really nice song,” the artist explains.
The visuals for the song were directed and shot by Pinkline Films, and sees Taiyel having a good time in the purple-hued video — just as the lyrics of the song suggest. The song has a melodic, singalong vibe that puts Taiyel’s fun and edgy delivery on display.
Since emerging into the music scene, the Afro fusion rising star has garnered the attention of good music aficionados and music execs alike, attracting a Local and International fanbase in New York City, California and Nigeria.
Her lyricism is a breath of fresh air amongst the realms of mainstream Afrobeat, Afro Pop, Afro Dancehall and Afro Hip Hop and though inspired by pioneers like Brenda Fassi, Rihanna, Taiyel has succeeded in constructing a distinctive delivery for herself.
