Multitalented artist Rose May Alaba has released her latest single titled Ibadi (Waist). Produced by award-winning Nigerian producer Blaise Beatz, the new single marks her first music release of 2023.
Ibadi which means “waist” in Yoruba language is a feel-good, uptempo, and rhythmic Afrobeat song that captures the essence of the beauty of a woman’s body by dancing and whining her waist. Rose May Alaba‘s ability to express this through music serves as a testament to her artistry. With its infectious beat and catchy lyrics, Ibadi is a song that will have fans dancing along in no time as it’s wavy and catchy energy makes contact with listeners.
Musician, dancer and fashionista Rose May Alaba was born and raised in Vienna, Austria. She writes her own songs, plays the piano as well as the guitar and puts on quite a show with her background dancers. Rose May‘s strength is her versatile and unique voice.
She started doing pop, which got her to the top of the Austrian iTunes Charts, where she landed on #1 with her single Love Me Right. Performing her original song Can You Feel It at the Special Olympics 2017 has been one of her most emotional experiences.
Rose May’s love for Afrobeats has ultimately brought her back to her roots as she’s come back to Nigeria, working with producers such as Young John, Kiddominant, Chopstix, Spotless, and Sovida amongst others.
