On the 8th of September 2023, legendary Nigerian producer Sarz, released Yo Fam, a bubbly, dance track featuring Mavins youngster, Crayon and EDM DJ/producer, Skrillex. This prime collaboration highlighted Crayon’s vibrant vocals over the upbeat electronic sound with a touch of afrobeat, creating a stellar Afro-EDM masterpiece.

Weeks later,  Sarz has now released the track’s visuals in celebration of Nigeria’s independence, as an ode to commemorate the richness of the Nigerian culture, with particular reference to its street culture. Nigerian street culture is very organic, and is inspired by the realities of her people. The video depicts this realness in its setting, embracing unfiltered locations, and showcasing camaraderie, without attempting to aestheticise or dilute it.

The video was skillfully directed by award-winning film and visual director,  Director K of Prior Gold Pictures who is the brain behind many Afrobeat hit videos, including Rema and Selena Gomez – Calm Down, Adekunle Gold’s Ogaranya, and Black Sherif and Burna Boy’s Second Sermon amongst others.
