Joromi Is Proof That Nobody Can Shoot Their Shot More Creatively Than Simi

From her love triangle with Adekunle Gold and Falz to the music and videos she has delivered in the past, one thing always shines bright and it’s Simi’s position as a hopeless romantic. Joromi, the latest single off her debut album, Simisola, would be out of touch if it somehow strayed from the idea of love but Simi stays true to her much loved subject matter.

While at first Sir Victor Uwaifo’s Joromi comes to mind, you notice that the two versions differ immensely as a result of how they’re rendered but you can tell Simi draws some influence from the great.

In the video, Simi takes matters into her hands by shooting the most creative shot of 2017 by intentionally leaving her purse at a bar after the bartender catches her eye. When the attempt to return the purse is made, Simi again remains ahead of the curve and guarantees she gets to see her new interest a third time.
