Simi has never been one to shy away from adventurous sounds as her vocal range and texture goes well with just about any sound. Following a brief hiatus taken after the release of her third album eponymously titled Simisola and hit single; I Dun Care, she returns with a bass led Afrobeat and Neo Highlife fused ode titled Lovin‘; a love ballad dedicated to the track’s muse who she showers with loving and as she works the movement inducing soundscape giving credence to her corny lyrics; she passes an equal amount of sonic loving to her listeners.
For a bridge between the new and old, Lovin’ is an appropriate comeback and we’re delighted to see what more she has in store for us.
