Earlier this month, Sir Dauda gave us the rundown of love in all its brilliant and biting forms on his five-track debut EP, Love Ex Machina. With no time to waste, the preacher of love, whose religion according to the EP opener, Ain’t Nobody, is love, returns with the video, the second one off the project, for the Simi assisted Woman.
Directed by Dammy Twitch, Sir Dauda opens the melodramatic video with regal shots of himself, his kingdom, and queen before he delves into the business of the day which is to profess love to his woman.
Along with Simi’s mesmeric performance and the video’s rich aesthetic, Sir Dauda’s feelings are amplified by the resounding talking drums that punctuate his words and facial expressions.
