Skales Returns With ‘Say You Bad (Remix) Featuring 1Da Banton

Ahead of his European summer tour (set to kick off on July 12), Nigerian Afro-dance star Skales has released his brand new single Say You Bad (Remix), this time featuring one of Nigeria’s recent breakout stars, 1Da Banton.

The catchy dance single, which was produced by Eardrumz and DTAC, is the first taste of what to expect from Skales’ upcoming deluxe album titled Sweet Distractions. Coming just in time for Summer and music festival season, Say You Bad (Remix) features an infectious upbeat melody, singsong lyrics and both artists doing their thing.

Centered around the beauty of African women, the song is also accompanied by a fast-paced, flashy new music video directed by Nigerian director, Gorilla Boy, who has also worked with the likes of Rema, Naira Marley, and Reekado Banks, among others.

With over 150 million plays online, five critically acclaimed projects that have given us hits such as the evergreen Shake Body and Temper, and international collaborations with the likes of Major Lazer, Nicki Minaj and Burna Boy under his belt, the star seems to have carved out a for himself and his unique sound that swings somewhere between afrobeats and electronic dance music. As one of the continent’s most travelled pop artists (having performed in over 20 countries across the world in the last two years), things are looking bright for Skales.
