Skales’s Emotive ‘Tell Us’ Pokes At The Nigerian Government’s Incompetence

Posted on

In the past couple of weeks, Nigerian musicians have gone from sonically demanding freedom for themselves and on behalf of the entire nation to calling out the government and even encouraging mind rehabilitation in a bid to foster peace within themselves and their listeners. This week, Skales goes back to basics in a somber articulation of his feelings on the recklessness of the Nigerian government coupled with an appraisal of the stance embattled Nigerians have taken to oppose the criminal actions of the government. Titled Tell Us, the piano-driven single’s profit will be donated to organizations helping with victims of police brutality.

The single is accompanied by a grim Director Tsunky directed video that is a collage of a number of pictures and videos that have struck a chord in our minds these past weeks. Skales is also joined by T.U.C who lends his voice to the former’s attempt at a sweeping articulation of the majority of our feelings.
