Small Doctor Carries On With His Street Led Uprising On ‘Soro Soke’

Two weeks ago, Small Doctor led an army of peaceful protesters from his home base in Agege to join the revolution led by the Nigerian youths. Since that time, the singer has put his money where his mouth is by leading protests, inspiring his fans, and now releasing music to support the cause. Soro Soke; Yoruba for speak up is the title of his latest freestyle and it’s drawn from the now popular phrase that has informally become the name of the millennial and gen z generations in Nigeria.

There’s not much to Soro Soke. It’s a sparsely worded piece rife with street slangs meant to bring life to otherwise bleak situations. The freestyle is accompanied by a video which sees Small Doctor riding through his suburb as he mimes the choppy lyrics from the single.
