The unsuccessful and short lived boycott did not make so much as a dent in his pursuance of success. He soldiered on and more than two years later, he broke through with his second mixtape and the first volume of his Life Is Eazi series; Accra To Lagos; a 14 track compilation of hit songs rife with fan favorites and A-List features which solidified his position as a hit maker with interesting vocals and a popstar’s lyrical ability to match. This year alone, Mr Eazi’s ever growing impressive artistic range has racked up a number of deals and international features for him. The cream of the cake being the release of his third mixtape and the second volume of his Life Is Eazi series titled Lagos To London; an allusion to his growth as an Artiste who began making music as a University student in Accra to Lagos from where he was catapulted to the rest of the world.

Just like its predecessor, Lagos To London is a feature heavy delivery of Mr Eazi’s gruff and hazy yet bouncy vocals over pulsating soundscapes and his signature percolating rhythms; a fusion of contemporary highlife, Afrobeat, Pop among others that prove to be as mood inducing and party steering as their titles and features suggest.

Mr Eazi touches on a variety of relatable subjects with assists from a host of veteran and budding artistes including 2 Baba and Lady Donli that set his intent in stone. Lagos To London is his most confident and well grounded mix of Highlife, Afrobeat and Hip Hop soundscapes; a testament to his growth and also a totality of movement and vibe stirring jams that embody the commonalities of various subjects ranging from Love to Partying and even Politics delivered in a revamped package of the old with pinches of new influences.
