The long standing partnership between Studio Magic and Ajebutter22 proved crucial in the latter’s break out in the industry. That said, the chemistry has thawed a bit of late but they reunite by entering into a mellow realm that is unfamiliar on mid tempo track Standard Guy.
In an unusual fashion, Ajebutter22 croons his intention for the track’s muse. Although he does not relegate his standard loose and disjointed lyricism, he operates this time on a more mellow plane dictated by calm bouncy synths and pads produced by Studio Magic that are as smooth as they are lulling.
While Ajebutter22 does not seem well suited for this kind of music, it is mood inducing and an acceptable standard effort
