Rapid-emerging Sudanese prodigy Yahya follows up his latest track and visuals to HIM/ME with a brand-new offering entitled Beautiful Lies + Need, the second chapter in the Pieces Of Me short film series alongside the Pieces Of Me album.
The multi-faceted youngstar combines two diverse singles from his hotly anticipated project, resulting in one unique set of visuals telling the story of love in its purest form. In true Yahya style, “Beautiful Lies + Need” showcases the young talents innate ability to tell powerful stories through his compelling lyricism and impactful voice. Speaking on the new album, Yahya explains:
“’Pieces of Me’ is the beginning of a story about true love in its purest form, it always begins with two people who think they’re complete, but as time passes, they come to realise that they’ve only been able to offer each other pieces of what we truly can give to one another. ‘Pieces Of Me’ is the start of true love in all its forms.”
Growing up in the United States, Yahya naturally gravitated towards Hip-Hop but developing his sound using cuts from trap, R&B and rock, his 2020 hit project Is It Too Late To Miss You showcased a clear flair for diversity in his vocals and instrumentals.
