Sugar Rush Trailer: First Look of Kayode Kasum’s Film Looks Promising

After whetting our appetite with characters’ teasers, Jade Osiberu’s GreOH Media has released the trailer for Sugar Rush, and we can confidently say it is the Nollywood December blockbuster to watch. Adesua Etomi-Wellington and Bisola Aiyeola look like they are having the time of their lives. And the trailer shows the fusion of genres—from comedy to thriller.

What would you do if you found $800,000?

The film, which is directed by Kayode Kasum (Oga Bolaji, Love is Yellow), follows three girls who come across $800,000 and go on a spending spree. The fun is cut short when the many owners of the money come looking for it.

Sugar Rush is a joint production between FilmOne Entertainment, Empire Mates Entertainment, and Jungle Filmwork Inc. The film has a star-studded cast featuring Banky W, Jide Kosoko, Tobe Bakre, Toke Makinwa, Williams Uchemba, Omoni Oboli, Uzor Arukwe, and Mawuli Gavor.

In an interview with ShockNG, Kasum says, “Sugar Rush is gonna be the bomb. It’s a rollercoaster of different genres of storytelling and film.” And we absolutely agree!
