A suicide bomber in Yobe state killed four people earlier today. It is believed that he drove his car into a bus station in Potiskum, Yobe state and then called over a young girl selling water before triggering off the explosion.

Potiskum happens to be the same town where two female suicide bombers targeted a market last week.

A man taking part in the rescue effort at Potiskum General Hospital claimed that he had seen five bodies, including that of the bomber, after the attack on Sunday morning.

He said that about 30 people were also injured as a result of the car bomb in the mainly Muslim town, which is Yobe state’s commercial hub.

Ghana’s president John Mahama on Friday announced that over the coming week, West African countries shall be meeting to set up a multi-national task force to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency seeing as they have made attempts to spread into Cameroon and Niger.
