Suicide Squad isn’t even out yet and Warner Bros. is already considering a spinoff for the anti-heroine, Harley Quinn.
According to Margot Robbie (Wolf of Wall Street, Focus) who stars as the villainess in Suicide Squad, will reprise the character and also produce the spinoff.
Interestingly, it is believed that the project would focus on several of DC’s female heroes and villains. Names like Batgirl and Birds of Prey have been mooted.
Robbie pitched the idea after taking a deep interest in DC Comics’ pantheon of female characters in her bid to research the role. , and a female writer to help develop the project for Warner Bros.
