Swarovski Nigeria has established itself as the go-to destination for exquisite yet affordable luxury accessories, showcasing the world’s finest crystal jewelry. Recently, the brand completed a successful three-day tour with global partners, visiting key locations in Lagos and Abuja from September 16th to 18th, 2024. This tour celebrated Swarovski’s presence in Nigeria and featured the grand opening of the new store at Palms Mall in Lagos.
The tour started with a press conference at the Palms Mall, attracting major media coverage of Swarovski’s latest products. This event marked the store’s official opening as a cornerstone of Swarovski’s luxury retail presence in Nigeria. On September 17th, the team visited its Jabi Mall store in Abuja to explore expansion opportunities, concluding with a stop at the Ikeja City Mall on September 18th to further solidify their market presence.
Jonathan Minter, Regional Sales Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, emphasized the importance of Nigeria in Swarovski’s African expansion strategy: “With a growing middle and upper class, our goal is to blend Swarovski’s global heritage with localized marketing to become a leading brand in Nigeria.”
Chika Nnadozie, Head of Marketing at Polo Limited, highlighted Swarovski’s renowned reputation for crystals, gemstones, jewelry, and accessories. She outlined the brand’s strategic direction in Nigeria, which includes targeted in-store activations, influencer collaborations, and digital campaigns designed to resonate with local audiences. Olamoniso Nduka, Head of Business Development at Polo Limited, addressed media inquiries regarding sustainability, stating, “Swarovski is a leader in responsible sourcing and ethical practices among global jewelry brands. In Nigeria, we are committed to partnerships that align with these values and support local communities.” He also discussed currency fluctuations, reassuring that localized pricing strategies have been implemented to maintain affordability without sacrificing quality.
A highlight of the visit was the unveiling of two new brand influencers, Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Efe Irele. Their unique voices and strong connections with the Nigerian audience reflect individuals who embody style, elegance, and modern luxury.
