Two explosions occurred in Apapa, Lagos on Wednesday night, claiming five lives and injuring many others.

The explosions which took pace almost simultaneously occurred inside and at the entrance of the Folawiyo Tank Farm.

According to witnesses, two petrol tankers in the premises were the cause of the explosion leading to a fire in the facility which was quickly put out.

Rumors of a suicide bomber being the cause of the fire are false.
