2018 has really been the year of Tekno’s reign as an all rounded artiste whose sound and artistry has seen an enviable revamp. The singer-songwriter-producer went from being responsible for Afrobeat hit records to producing for fellow renowned international artistes to clawing out of the confines of Afrobeat. The year is almost over and Tekno is still embracing the changes his artistry has gone through this year.
In a very unusual style; he recruits party famous DJs; 2Kingz for new single; You Can Get It and over an upbeat extravagant soundbed reminiscent of South African house music, the trio display an immense understanding of this new sound. Their creative synergy extends to the accompanying cinematographic video where they take their happy exuberant moods, traditional drums and synthesized keys to a variety of dance floors where along with a host of dancers and scene extras, they maximize the psychedelic vibes brought on by the fast paced nature of the track.
