Amidst the Iyanya vs. Ubi Franklin uprising, Tekno whose quietly kept his counsel seeks to prove his success by underlining his nonchalance towards the entire saga which he projects on Uptempo.

The self-produced track – one which comes a long time after musicians like Drake and Ciara attested to Tekno’s production skills finds him dabbling with Rastafarian inflected lyrics over a typical pulsating Afrobeat soundscape as he begs the track’s muse to “dance for him”…. which is also a typical request. Tekno’s Uptempo is more than indicative and despite whatever situation inspired it, Uptempo is likely to be a chart topper.
