Teni has always had a head-on and predictable approach to music but with the uncertainty that clouds these times, even the versatile singer has opted for diversity. Earlier this year, we saw her take her usual romance inclined route on Marry, however, this week, along with DJ Neptune she proves that there is a different side to her single track delivery with a four-track EP she titles The Quarantine Playlist.
On the pretty laid back EP that promotes similar vibes, Teni immerses herself in the current climate and allows herself to be led by trends as reflected in the song titles but her character is more pronounced as evidenced in her delivery of a varied interpretation of the same romance-themed content.
She enjoys the thrill of the chase on while on the P.Prime produced closer, Mine, while she’s full of promises and hope for her relationship on Isolate. Lockdown, the third track is a projection of everyone’s reality right now which makes its relatability it’s best feature.
While The Quarantine Playlist really only caters to a certain demographic, it’s a breath of fresh air in these catastrophic times.
