Like the title implies, A Music In Time Podcast is a journey through the timeline of the Nigerian music industry from the golden perspectives of Osagie Alonge, his league of industry veterans, and various other individuals with reputable standing and experience in the industry.
After a well-timed premiere in July this year, Osagz as he’s fondly called has featured some respected voices to take his fast-growing audience on amazing trips down memory lane. In this week, the wave of nostalgia throws us all the way back to 2010, to the hottest crew on the block that year; the Knight House consisting the initial trio of Aderogba Arimoro, Lanre Oladimeji, and Temi Gomez as well as the interesting chronicles on the makings of one of Nigeria’s most creative portfolios, their infamous 2010 album, the Knight House Street Scriptures Vol 1.
For all the nostalgia you’ve been craving now that the rains are back, this old boys session will delight you with those familiar tunes that played in your favorite growing up scenes; Won Beri Ft Mo Cheddah, Sinzu & Teeto, Saucekid’s rare freestyle in Airplane Mode produced by Knight House and major shout-outs to the successfully talented creatives of those times that made it all come together like Terry Tha Rapman, Ex-O the Producer and others. Here’s the back story of one of Nigeria’s pioneer record labels, of the originality and creativity that drove the affairs of 51, Simpson Street, and the rare bits of relatable gist on what it takes to put passion first and everything else after.
