The Macallan Brings Diamonds Are Forever Limited Release To Nigeria

Some stories outlive the moment they were first told. More than five decades after Diamonds Are Forever introduced audiences to one of James Bond’s most iconic adventures, its legacy is finding new expression—not on screen, but in a bottle of whisky.

The Macallan has unveiled the Diamonds Are Forever Limited Release in Nigeria, the latest chapter in its ongoing collaboration with the James Bond franchise. Created to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the 1971 film, the expression follows the James Bond 60th Anniversary Collection released in 2022, extending a partnership between two names whose reputations have been built on craftsmanship, heritage and enduring cultural influence.

Rather than recreating the film, The Macallan draws from its legacy. The collectible presentation features artwork inspired by original production materials preserved within the James Bond archives, paying tribute to one of the franchise’s defining instalments while reflecting the distillery’s own attention to detail.

Inside the bottle is an expression crafted by Whisky Maker Russell Greig. Distilled in 2007, the whisky spent 18 years maturing in bespoke hybrid casks of sherry-seasoned European and American oak, alongside American oak casks previously seasoned with red wine. Bottled at 45.5% ABV, it opens with aromas of polished oak, vanilla bean and dried fruits before revealing layers of caramel, cocoa, coffee, figs, berries and gentle spice.

For The Macallan, the release aims to showcase the distillery’s approach to whisky making as much as it aims to celebrate a cinematic milestone.
