New kid on the Nigerian Pop music block TI Blaze releases his debut EP titled The Fresh Prince From Lagos. The 6-song project tells his story of hustle and hope with gritty lyrics delivered on contemporary afrobeat instrumentals. The result is an inspirational yet groovy project.

TI vividly paints an image of struggles and dreams of a better life in the lead single Try. He enlists one of the biggest rap acts in the country Olamide on Sometimes (remix). Both songs were released prior to the album, landing on Apple Music Top 100 Nigeria and Top 25 Lagos music charts.

With some assistance from South African breakout star Blxckie and fellow Nigerian singer/songwriter Rasaqi on Basic, TI delivers a serene yet braggadocious number against a mellow backdrop. Using Amapiano instrumentals, the infectious Gbedu evokes a party atmosphere. The project also features Nigerian singer Barry Jhay.

The EP captures the artist’s current hustler reality while giving fans a front-row ticket to his dreams of making it out as The Fresh Prince of Lagos.
